He was a good soldier. He came in, tried the best he could, provided some depth. Could get feisty in scrums too and had a bit of an edge. Also, gave some of the most thoughtful interviews you can expect in the NHL. Congrats on a good career.

Often a lightning bolt for criticism online, but that was always moreso about management not doing enough elsewhere forcing him to play too often up the lineup. Seemed like a good teammate and a thoughtful interview.

Hope he finds his way into sports media somewhere down the line.

Seemed like a good dude and a solid bottom 6 guy (at least offensively, don't recall his defensive game) that caught some lightning on a depleted Oilers lineup.

All the best in retirement, congrats on the Cup!

For some reason I'd forgotten all about that penalty shot haha.

The memory that stuck out to me was when he scored on a wrister from the blue line against the Caps (his old team) and ribbed them in good spirits on the bench afterwards.
