Not sure what the draw is with Wright. Other than his draft pedigree ( which dropped substantially ) there is not too much to be giddy about.
I would rather hold onto our players and especially Korchinski!

Drove the net for his goal and won a clutch o-zone faceoff for his apple, but yeah do go off about how some kid in the KHL is an overpay while your team is well on its way to another top-3 pick and is burning out a generational talent.

I swear this subforum is the absolute worst.

Hmmm. A 20 year old rookie, who after some injuries and a slow start, scored 22 goals and nearly went point-per-game down the stretch in the AHL last year in his 19 year old season, is a reclamation project because he isn't lighting up the NHL at 20 playing center in a third line role?

Typing that out actually made the notion seem even more ridiculous.

Wright might not develop into a star center (I think he ends up being a goal scoring winger at the NHL level), but he is still a couple years away from falling into the "question mark" category or flirting with the "bust" label.

Its not fair if Hawks are overpaying for a guy who is struggling badly right now at NHL level

As for Korchinski for Wright swap it doesn't make sense to move our best LD prospect for a C. We have Nazar/Boisvert/Moore/Mustard/Thompson/etc in system as is for C

If we are going for a reclamation project giving up Korchinski or your original offer are too steep a price considering Wright has major ? right now
Korchinski struggled so hard in NHL he is in AHL, so why should Seattle trade for an even worse player?
