His cap hit makes it near impossible for the Pens. It's why he kept getting passed over for promotion whenever the Pens would call someone up from the AHL.

They changed the rules so that re-sign clauses on picks aren't legal anymore. Players felt it hindered them in re-signing when the team could just get a different UFA for no compensation.

He has good hands and offensive instincts. Watched him score a hat trick for the wild. He just isn’t consistent enough for top 6 and he’s a tweener with poor defense and too small for bottom 6 roles

The worst was "re-entry waivers" which was so obviously predictable that it would cause teams to just never call up anybody that had passed waivers previously
