Still young and cheap with NHL experience. Good potential pickup for a cap strapped team as #7 dman with some potential/upside still left in his game

Didn't necessarily expect a claim but was a bit nervous for it. Good AHL player, big guy who moves well that gotten eaten alive in NHL minutes on a terrible Hawks team a season ago. Just turned 23, probably a nothing but I think there could still be an NHL player there.

Looks like he isn't going to be assigned yet (with Kaiser out), but it made sense to try to get him to clear among the masses
