  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
William Eklund (and some prospect friends) went for the 9th overall today.

In no world do I value Bo Byram higher than William Eklund.

And he just went for the 4th overall+.

I'm floored.

Byram can play like a true 1D. He was one of the best players on the ice in the Sabres/Bruins series.

But he can also be inconsistent and bad. He was one of the worst players in the Sabres/Canadiens series

This is worse than M. Tkachuk for Huberdeau bad.

This trade absolutely ends any chance Chicago had at finishing their rebuild.

If I'm Bedard I'm asking for the first plane ticket out of town.

Huberdeau was coming off a 115 point season at that point, it aged horribly but at the time it wasn't seen as a bad move for the Flames at all generally speaking, in fact I believe the opposite was seen by most fans.

This is just .... atrocious on day 1.
