I'm confused why the Avs would even be interested in the guy, he's not cracking our top 6 dmen anytime soon.
Hard pass. Kuemper is fine. Avs have their goalie needs covered for this season.
Chicago is in no position to be trading 1st round picks.

I am very much against trading Girard and think Sakic made his bed the moment he made that awful Kuemper trade in regards to our goaltending in the playoffs and the consequences due to that.
But that deal is probably too good for the Avs to pass up.
Chicago would have to be way more confident than I am that this won't be a top10 pick (which I think it absolutely would be).
Fleury, Kubalik, Murphy and a top10 pick is just too good of a deal to pass up even if losing Girard really would hurt us. Chicago absolutely does not touch this.

See, this is an offer I could get behind. I don't think Kaut has been given a fair shake and I like Francouz. But long term he's not a goalie solution. Neither is Darcy or would be Flower. But this gives us a 1A/1B for the playoffs at a fair price. While giving Kaut a real chance somewhere and a serviceable goalie for this and maybe a couple more seasons in Chicago.
I'd pull the trade lever.

Yeah Olausson is showing signs of being a steal of a late first rounder. Super raw, I wouldn’t flip him for that entire Chicago package at this point.
