I echo the OP. As a teen I was a fan but haven't listened LP for a long time. Sad news. RIP.

I had tickets to see them in August and I was really looking forward to it, I never got to see LP as a teen and this was gonna be the first time. :(

LP was one of the first harder rock bands I got into on my way into my current music taste.

This sucks.

First celeb death that's actually hit me. I looked up to him when I was younger, loved linkin park. Rip.

Sad :(

Was it known that he had trouble?

Never been a fan by any means but it's always tragic seeing a young person leave far too early. I can also empathize with the fans after being so affected after Cornell's passing.

RIP

LP has been the butt of millions of jokes, including many of mine. Joke's on us, they greatly influenced an entire generation of rock and metal listeners, wether we like to admit it or not.

An incredibly talented man has left the building. RIP.

I was seeing them in September. Stunned to hear this. Chester was amazing. Hybrid Theory and Meteora will always be some of the best music I have ever heard.
