Playoffs start in 2 weeks and he barely been skating (from what we know at least). So I don't see how he could be ready for game 1.

With all that being said, I keep some hope for the playoffs based on Maurice attitude. He seems fine with everything that is happening right now and doesn't look worried at all.

Well, that’s the thing. I have no insider information so I’m only able to go by what’s said publicly.

A) Is he really injured to the point that he won’t play this season?

B) Or is he injured only to the point where it was convenient to claim he’d by out until playoffs (like Stone and Kuch) (and could even add Marchand)?

Even if Tkachuk comes back, thats a large chunk to miss. This applies for Ekblad as well to be frank.

The last time Ekblad was LTIRed and came back Game 1, he looked like shit (Washington, Tampa). Chucky has started every season with us super slow.


Chucky could be healthy enough to play but that is a far cry from being effective.
