Sucks to trade Tucker but I guess better to trade him and get something now, rather than lose him for nothing next year. Nice package and Paredes replaces Bregman. Although I wanted Suzuki.

Cubs trying to win. Have a season to try to extend him. Can trade him at the deadline and recoup assets.

Better shot than most at re-signing him, because his agent isn't Boras.

Sucks to lose him but we weren't resigning him to whatever big contract he was going to get so whatever.


I've made peace with the fact that our days of being a top contender are most likely over . I think this upcoming year is probably going to be our last hurrah. It's been a fantastic ride that has supplied us with amazing achievements and memories that I will cherish forever.
