Don't know if true or if the Canes twitter account are simply trying to play peacemaker but I would assume Tepper is smart enough to know that a sizable chunk of the support for his new toy will likely come from the Triangle, and saying shit like this would burn not only this bridge, but the support for the Panthers in RDU as well. It is pretty stupid to say in general though.

Either way, good on the Hurricanes twitter account for keeping it classy. Being a Charlotte resident I'm one who wants the gap between Panthers/Hornets and Hurricanes to continue to close rather than widen.
