No doubt, I don't irrationally blame Sweeney for not getting M Tkachuk when there wasn't a realistic package they could have sent Calgary that didn't include Mac or Pasta just would have been the perfect bruin.

He was the Canes best player a few years ago when they eliminated us. Probably would have been fine for a few months though I wouldn't have extended him.

64GP: 10G 41A 51P +30 with Carolina that season. That’s an eye popping stat line in 2022. He was solid with the Flyers too. Curious if the Isles will move him at the deadline. He’d net them a 1st. Smart move by uncle Lou, sign him to vet minimum and flip him for a 1st at the deadline. He might’ve bought himself a 1st round pick

Well, it's very easy to see what right in front of us all, but he hasn't been that player for the last 2 years.
(The best make the partners look better, so who he is playing with has less to do with it than other will protest)

That being said, if that is what comes back from the 4 Nations Tourney, for the rest of the season, and moving forward, then we all have our Chucky back.

Anyone that thinks his performance, the last 2 years, up until now, has been anything more than disappointing, is a disingenuous homer. Maybe his shoulder recovery had a lot to do with it. As the public, we are never given privy to those facts.
