Bruins fans are talking about waiving this guy. I'd be shocked if they got anything of note even at max retention.

We've been bad after 9 games and there's been a lot of finger pointing but I haven't seen anyone talking about waiving him just yet
He also brings so much more outside of just points. He hasn't missed a game since the Covid season, plays huge defensive assignments and penalty killing, above avg FO %, leader in the room.
Bruins most certainly aren't just going to give him away for nothing. He's been a soldier for a while.

No serious fan is talking about waiving him. He's been bad, but so has the so team. He has value. How much is the only question.

As the cap goes up, his deal becomes easier to swallow. Is an absolute horse, excellent defensively, and chips in offensively. Perfect for a team who needs quality depth and brawn in the middle for a playoff run. Makes sense to get at the TDL, when it's easier to fit him under the cap.
As a hometown kid, it would be quite a statement if BOS were to move him. If I was the acquiring team, I would worry that that he would be slow to adjust to the change of locale.
Coyle is frustrating to watch as a fan. Some days he looks like an absolute beast with skill, others, you can't find him.
Depending on how this year goes, he should be worth a late 1st or so at the TDL. If his slow start continues, he'll be worth less, but he'll probably end up with 35-40 points.

Bruins retain 1.5 and they easily get a 1st+ Easily

But even if they don't retain, the return is not going to be disappointing.
Hes a guy you trust in every situation. He's more than capable in all three zones.

I don’t buy it. If they don’t get a 1st for him at least, the trade is disappointing
But at the same time, he may be able to still get one, but looking at teams that would be interested… I don’t see it working without retention
