Will he succeed or fail as the #1c?
What do you project his point totals to be, and why?

Entitled vet. Got it together for the 100th anniversary game but barely cares most other nights.
Like Carlo we've squeezed more good years than we could have expected but it's time for them to go to new teams.
Absolutely pathetic Sweeney lacks the balls to trade either.
Guilt has taken over after he signed that contract, but in reality, he should not feel that way, that should be on Sweeney for offering it to him. So, in my opinion, this is all on Sweeney and he should feel ashamed, for being so incompetent.Alright folks, what's the deal. He's stopped taking face-offs. He's behind the play and not producing. They need him (or any center) to step up drastically and they're still feeding him ice time.
What do you think his problem is? Injured, age catching up, just a tough couple months?
Lindholm was the topic not Coyle, nice "deflection". Bottom line Lindholm is a third line center at best, that was signed as a first line center off the brilliance of one year.

I might have mixed up the posts, I thought it was about Lindholm.I've been saying this since Charlie signed that contract. What was he supposed to do, turn it down?
His performance was improving but now I think he's injured, I can't think of any other reason why he wouldn't be taking face offs.
Understandable to mix them up since they were both good 3Cs who were given 2C contracts.I might have mixed up the posts, I thought it was about Lindholm.
Their problem is that there's no one to step in if they cut his minutes. Saccos pushing defense first and he's on board with it 1000%. Maybe that's why he's also on pace for a 20pt year?If he’s injured they need to cut his minutes.
If he’s just playing bad they need to cut his minutes.
If he can’t take faceoffs they need to have Beecher or Kastelic on his line, Freddy isn’t good enough at them.
Not sure about the injury theory - think he stopped taking draws when Kastellic stepped on his line. They're both righties as Kastelic is better at the dot. Coyle was taking them again against Edmonton with Kastelic back on line 4.Coyle has a ubi, and is not taking many faceoffs because of it. I have never liked Coyle but to be fair to him, he is a decent 2-3 center when healthy but is awful when injured. See the playoff series versus the Islanders... Due to average skating at best, he really needs to be healthy, to push and concentrate.
That's great that he loves playing and I think the emergency promotion will work to a degree but an injured Coyle is not a good Coyle........His enthusiasm may work against him.Bruins iron man Charlie Coyle answers the call every day, and he intends to keep playing as long as he can - The Boston Globe
Coyle, 32, recently eclipsed the 900-career game mark and has played in all 82 games each of the last three seasons. "I love playing," he said.www.bostonglobe.com
They were cooking before him. Game 2 was better than game one. Hope it lights his fuse.2 goals and a helper last 2 games playing wing on the 2nd line. That line looks dangerous!
