Entitled vet. Got it together for the 100th anniversary game but barely cares most other nights.

Like Carlo we've squeezed more good years than we could have expected but it's time for them to go to new teams.

Absolutely pathetic Sweeney lacks the balls to trade either.

More likely Sweeney lacks a trading partner.

Alright folks, what's the deal. He's stopped taking face-offs. He's behind the play and not producing. They need him (or any center) to step up drastically and they're still feeding him ice time.

What do you think his problem is? Injured, age catching up, just a tough couple months?
Guilt has taken over after he signed that contract, but in reality, he should not feel that way, that should be on Sweeney for offering it to him. So, in my opinion, this is all on Sweeney and he should feel ashamed, for being so incompetent.

I've been saying this since Charlie signed that contract. What was he supposed to do, turn it down? :dunno: :sarcasm:

His performance was improving but now I think he's injured, I can't think of any other reason why he wouldn't be taking face offs.

I might have mixed up the posts, I thought it was about Lindholm.

If he’s injured they need to cut his minutes.
If he’s just playing bad they need to cut his minutes.
If he can’t take faceoffs they need to have Beecher or Kastelic on his line, Freddy isn’t good enough at them.

Their problem is that there's no one to step in if they cut his minutes. Saccos pushing defense first and he's on board with it 1000%. Maybe that's why he's also on pace for a 20pt year?

I like this move to the second line. Brazeau has been awful there despite having 2 red hot linemates.

3rd line C needs to go to Poitras ASAP.

Coyle has a ubi, and is not taking many faceoffs because of it. I have never liked Coyle but to be fair to him, he is a decent 2-3 center when healthy but is awful when injured. See the playoff series versus the Islanders... Due to average skating at best, he really needs to be healthy, in order to fully push and fully concentrate.

Not sure about the injury theory - think he stopped taking draws when Kastellic stepped on his line. They're both righties as Kastelic is better at the dot. Coyle was taking them again against Edmonton with Kastelic back on line 4.

That's great that he loves playing and I think the emergency promotion will work to a degree but an injured Coyle is not a good Coyle........His enthusiasm may work against him.

Anything that gets Brazeau off that line works for me. Wish Koepke got a fair shot in that spot.

Need to open up 3C for Poitras.
