Not sure why Minnesota fans are interested in dealing this talented forward.

That goal was simply beautiful.

I think the reason is that he is not performing as expected, and the fear is that he may never get to where he was expected to be. The idea is that he still has good trade value now but after a few under performing seasons he will have no trade value.

I still hold out hope that he can become a 20g-25g 20a-25a power forward. He has all the skills needed to be that player. He just seems to lack finish (despite this goal). He generates a lot of chances. That being said, if the right deal came along, that could make the team better it should be considered.

Giroux scored one like that early on in his career. Very nice goal from Coyle.

Very similar... beautiful goal as well. Unreal how fast he moves skating half backwards.

You always want to see guys like Coyle reach their full potential and become good finishers and star players. Thats a normal fan response. Especially players drafted as first and second rounders who were productive goal scorers at every level.

But there is still good value in players like Charlie Coyle even if he doesnt fulfill expectations.
And I agree if the right trade comes along which makes the Wild better you go for it even if that means trading a guy like him.

No one wants Coyle gone.

Albeit one goal is exactly that, one goal. The issue is Coyle gets more playing time than Nino, who has 16 goals on the season. Both deserve more minutes than many of the vets on that team in which their current coaching staff does not agree with that line of thinking.

Ya. Hold up on that. Coyle has been a concrete block on the Wild's ankle all year.

i could say, but it might get me kicked off.

these are the same people who are STILL complaining about a PP who's percentage is good for a top ten spot in the league the last 20-30 games.

Great goal by Coyle, and it's the Coyle we saw in the playoffs last year (before both shoulders were separated). This is the Coyle we (and Yeo) want all year round. The whole Nino vs Coyle thing is paranoid insanity by wild fans who are convinced the coach has a vendetta against Nino for some reason. Both guys have strengths and weaknesses--right now (and through his tenure here) Nino shows far better offensive instincts but his judgement on the ice has been inconsistent. Coyle plays it way too safe most of the time but his low point of play is better than Ninos. in other words, Nino's effectiveness on the ice swings greater and lower than Coyles from game to game. some coaches just like going into games counting on a certain level of play.
