That's a shame, I certainly expected Hudon to become a Giroux type player.
A poor man's Giroux probably...Giroux is a one a thousand type player. But he certainly plays a Giroux like game - shifty, great vision, competes hard for every puck.

Giroux
Hudon will pretty much be as good as his off-ice training is. If he can really get stronger and faster then his potential is huge.
Either way he's definitely an NHLer in my opinion. He's not that small and his skating isn't a huge issue. Just seems to lack that high gear. His hockey sense is way too high to not make the bigs.
I thought he'd have higher potential than Gallagher before the season started but I had no idea that Gallagher would be this good this soon. Still think Hudon COULD be better.
Possible habs lineup in 3-4 years
Pacioretty-Galchenyuk-Gallagher
Hudon-Eller-Collberg
Bozon-Plekanec-Kristo
Prust-Dumont-White
?
They are better off leaving him in the Q for another year then a year in Hamilton. Slow and steady is always better with young players.
Gallagher was signed a year and a bit after his draft.
I was talking about how I wished we had a kid coming from the minors and surprise a lot of people...I mentioned Hudon't name. WeThreeKings was saying yesterday that he didn't have a contract.....
He now does. PLAY HIM! And let Hudon be our Pageau.
