You don't know what you're talking about. His offensive numbers are not far off from previous years. Defensively, he's been playing 5v5 against the top lines in the league all season with Tolvanen and Bjorkstrand as his wingers. He plays 19+mins per game. That's what they signed him for.

I have zero issues with that contract right now.

He plays a lot of minutes and rocks a 38% XGF% at 5-on-5 (compared to the team at large which is 44.64% XGF%.

He's getting lucky right now with his production, but that isn't sustainable. He's atrocious in the role he's being played in.

Beniers has been playing top six minutes and opponents for at least two years and Wright has gotten better as the season went on.

So I wouldn't mind "throwing Wright to the Wolves" and increase his minutes and matchups.

We could also sign a solid 3C who can help out defensively if needed.
