Means nothing, Canada has the overflowing trophy case. It's not a coincidence.
It means everything. One random fluke game when most OT goals are flukes anyway won't save anything from a decade of awful decisions both now and in the future.

You want me to bring up Team Latvia lol. That's more of a pathetic loss than tonight being a truly magical Canada win. Take a chill pill.

Congrats to JT Miller. Your contribution has been...well, you got to shake hands with some of the best hockey players in the world.

One for your book of memories.
Hey he got the US to overtime at least. Took away an empty net from McDavid.

The NBA is boring. Hockey is king in Canada.
Well I’m not talking about Canada. The world is much bigger than Canada.

No disrespect to Canada and probably the wrong time to say it after the game tonight but hockey is viewed about as much as the UFC and auto racing here in the USA.

For as much slack as you guys throw at “American Football”, there are more viewers of football that reside here in the USA than total ice hockey fans in the entire world. So who really cares if the sport isn’t global? It brings in far more money (believe it was the highest grossing professional sports league) and far more viewership than some of these niche sports.

And globally, American football is dwarfed by basketball viewership.

You obviously read my comment. And you were triggered enough to respond.

Now let’s try to get you singing O Canada to pay tribute to the unrivalled owner of hockey.

On three….one…two…three….

O Canada, our home and native land,
TRUE patriot love, in all of us command..

Maybe if you’re lucky, one of your fellow subway riders can join in?

I read this one, thanks for the laugh, would be hilarious to try to start that chorus here hahahah

My favourite JT Miller moment was when he tried to pick a fight then punched himself in the face…in between all of the punches that Parayko was feeding him.

How embarrassing was that to start a fight and the only punch you land connects with your own face?

An all-time sucker moment for JT Miller.

...the highlighted is absolutely untrue...there are more hockey fans in Europe/Asia than there are people in the U.S....facts... :teach:

Canada wins the overwhelmingly majority of times when they ice their best players, it's not a coincidence. OT goal or not, its shows Canada's best get the job done, a proven history of success is very important.

Hockey is king in Canada. Always will be. Basketball is dumb. Congrats to the US for being good at it.

Speaking of, was I the only one who thought the girl blew chunks singing the national anthem?

This actually meant a lot to Americans. Ironically all the NBA bashing it's the only popular international team sport America is good at.

Baseball lost to Japan
Hockey lost to Canada
NFL its a local American sport no one plays outside North America
Soccer a million countries better than them.

Theyre good at individual sports and some team events in Olympics like sycronized swimming or 400m coed racing but the big sports team sports just not the case.

Really bizarre seeing all the punching down on the NBA. That's the one sport Americans are dominant at.
