I would say it's back to the drawing board for the Americans, Canada continues to enjoy established dominance against them when it matters most.

In terms of critiques I'll say that I do think the Americans tend to rely too much on trying to emulate Canada a bit too much and try to beat Canada at its own game, which in my opinion is a strategy riddled with naïveté. Perhaps its a looking in mirror kind of moment for USA Hockey here.

Great little tourney, future looks bright for Canada, can't wait to see McDavid leading this team at the Olympics next year.

Close game. Great game. Had all the makings of an Olympics final, which I contend is the absolute pinnacle of ice hockey. God I hope next year's Olympic final will be as amazing.

Congrats to Canada, really didn't let nerves get to them. Felt they had a lot more to prove. USA showing they belong with Canada at the very top... ok, if only just a little tiny bit behind. It's great to have international hockey at the state that it's in, if/when Russia gets back the games will be phenomenal.

It was a great game tonight (actually yesterday now). Both teams gave a great effort and made their fans proud. Glad the winning goal was a nice one that rewarded skill and not luck. A huge shout out to Jordan Biddington for the saves in OT. He was the player of the game.

Okay. I am won’t argue about “everything” being on the line in a tournament against 3 other countries in the middle of the NHL season as much as you obviously are.

Hope this is a lesson for Team Canada that we definitely need to get more speed and youth into the line up and some size up front would help too...need youth on the backline though they collectively played decently even good but...
