I don't feel the first one was on him at all. Second one if he hadn't tracked so far out of his crease to the left he's quite possibly in position with his pads down to stop the puck. But it was still a shot on a scramble that pinballed through to the net.

There was a guy on Marner already, Matthews should've taken McDavid but got sucked towards Marner.

I don't know what he could have done on either really. He never saw the puck on the first goal I don't think, he made the stop initially but simply was just positionally making it, he never saw it coming so was not ready for any follow up rebound
