Wild to see how this is some people’s Super Bowl, speaks volumes about what doesn’t need to be said. Also crazy how this is more razer thin than people like to admit, remember this your nations soul sport 😂😂. Enjoy the title your nations players were reluctant to hoist! See you in the Olympics.
Saltiest man alive

As a Canadian fan I’m not worried. We usually find a way.

As a leafs fan that’s seen several game 7s I would already be getting nervous for the game tonight.

Like it said. Honestly wasn’t nervous at all, I knew Canada would come through.

As a leafs fan, I’m glad both Matthews and Marner were good tonight and I’m hoping this game was a turning point in their careers.

US has a great team but they don't produce McDavid or MacKinnon level talents ever.

Matthews had the game on his stick twice but can't come up big, then leaves McDavid all alone on the winner.

Oh come on, let’s not pretend it wasn’t a coin flip that landed “Binnington” this time around. Mc and Mac didn’t decide shit in this one, Binner saved bacon.

Not even close. Most people in this country don't care about this tournament.

Besides, losing the Gold Medal games was a lot worse.
oh suddenly none of you care?

GTFO. that's bullshit Hey..........you need a dose of reality and a heaping plate of humble pie?

In hockey............we're the guys to see. Like we've shown you a million times and like we had to show you again tonight.

Take your medicine.

Binnington was literally crap earlier.

You should google the definition of literal.

That aside he did not play like crap, yes he let in a few that he would probably want back but when the game was on the line he consistently showed up and played huge. Every game he gave his team a chance to win and damn near singlehandedly slowed down other teams forecheck with his puck playing ability. Fans particularly on the national level are way too critical of goaltending, when they people shooting at them are the best in the world. He did his job.

Real talk: both Canada and USA left so many young, fast, talented and dynamic players off the rosters and went with too many slow, boring, old-school choices. Canada pulled through (thank god) but next time, enough with the old boy shit.

Did we watch the same game?? They beat them a couple of days ago and were right with them tonight.

Get off the high horse and get your head out of the clouds. The USA is as close as ever to actually competing with Canada.

The US won a round robin game in the 2010 Olympics too, how'd that work out for them?

How does McDavid expect to be named Captain at the Olympics when he sees all the players before him lifting the trophy and he holds it, turns around and hands it off. It doesn't matter if it's not the cup and doesn't care about it, it's disrespectful to all the people there that found the tournament meaningful.
