Ban Bystrica lay the boots to Lugano and win 5-2.

End of the second in Zurich and the Lions lead 2-1.

After a scoreless first period, Cardiff and Bern have combined for four goals, and it's tied at 2 with 12 minutes to play in the second.

Fog is gone in Vienna, and the first period is drawing to a close finally, with the Capitals up 1-0 over Aalborg.

Hockey rules question : if a player falls on a goalie, but pushed by an adverse player (same team than the goalie) ... what is the absolute verdict ? fault or not fault ? what would the school book say ?
tks

The scenario you described should not result in any kind of penalty or foul. Although you cannot enter the goalies crease, if you are pushed in by an opposing player, even if you interfere with the goalie, no infraction is considered to have taken place.

End of 2 in Wales, and Cardiff and Bern are tied at 2.

Halfway through the second and Aalborg have scored two goals in about 90 seconds to take a 2-1 lead over Vienna.

Third period underway in Zurich, and Frolunda have just tied the score at 2.

Big teams looking soooo slow. Lugano defense couldn't match the speed of Banska Bystrica at all. Considering JYP just crushed the Slovaks 6-1 I feel it's pretty safe to say Swiss teams are far from game shape yet.

wow fredrik pettersson can shot the puck, thats what you call a pure sniper :) zurich wins 3-2 in a shootout. what a good game that was.

Bern let 1 point get away versus cardiff, you cant give away pts versus lower clubs that might cost them top spot in the group. Next game versus Vaxjo will be huge!

Agreed, but to their credit Cardiff played really well. They definitely looked better than their first game against Salzburg.

Attendance is always going to be an issue in the group stages with games going on during holiday time of year.

I wonder if the could boost attendance by having the northern teams travel south for the 1st weekend of games.

I was looking at Kometa Brno line-up in the first game that they lost to Neman Grodno 4:2 and where were all the regulars? Is that what we can expect from Kometa or was it because the they had to travel to Belarus? I hope next game they will have their "A" line-up.

You can expect it. The club takes the CHL as a tournment where young, unexperienced players, can play. For obvious reasons they can not test them - en masse - at CZ regular season level.

While reading Kometa´s preview I realised that Eisbären plays at Wellblechpalast, not Mercedes-Benz Arena. I am disappointed by the club´s decision & even much more by the league who accepted it.

Last year they played most of the games with U20 players, so atleast for away games it'll be probably same this year.

Definitelly not easy for the CHL in Sweden.

It just means Bern takes CHL very seriously ;). I'll be honest here, the fact that CHL starts before the SHL season puts my team at a major disadvantage, as we're nowhere near having a complete roster before SHL start. We fill the holes as the season goes on. For example, the FW side is expected to be completely different by the end of december/start of January. Last season we played some CHL games with only 3 lines. This season we came into trouble on the FW side already in the second match against Salzburg, where we didnt have enough FWs to fill the 4th line
