The correct way to tank is to hilariously win Fleury, then get a draft like 2004 where 2nd pick gets you Malkin, then win Crosby (bonus points for not even playing the season and still picking first overall).

The Sabres aren't lucking hard enough and it's getting them down.

Of course if the Oilers won those players they would've traded Malkin for Dion Phaneuf.
Best example of this was the Sabres had the highest odds to get Sid and ended up picking 13th.

That's not exactly what he said. He accused the Sabres (players, not organization) of adopting a mindset of “being OK with losing.”
Actually no he didn’t. And he wasn’t even here when the team was “losing on purpose”

Okay, 5 days ago in the end of the season lockeroom press show, he said, and I quote his exact words, “We're stuck in this mindset in being okay with losing.”
