If he does pass now, does that mean he's exempt the remainder of the year?

He’s a 5-9 winger who is now 23 years-old, who can’t stay healthy and has never shown he can be an NHL regular.

Who exactly is dying to claim him and give up one of their NHL roster spots?

Another HFB waiver excitement special.

Marty Saint-Louis would be great for him

Enough time to get his groove on the Wranglers, while Klapka/Honzek get some NHL games.
Sure hope he passes....
Well if he's not claimed, he can stay with the Wranglers longer. The 30 day limit only means he can be sent down once in the next 30 days without waivers. So Flames can keep him up lets say 3 weeks, and then sent him down without waivers.

Seems if you are a retooling team like the Flames you'd keep him around at least as an extra forward

Maybe another young player outplayed him?
