Another piece of good news going into the season.

That 1-2 punch of Morgan and Anderson is dynamite.

Our front seven should be elite. Overall our D should be the best it’s been in a long time. Offensive will be a work in progress with the new receiving corp, but should have a great running game. The kicking game is the only thing that has me worried, but that may take some time to find the right duo. Really looking forward to this year, have been all winter, haven’t said that in many a year.

Most of these make sense, tougher penalties for really bad ones and stop treating major fouls less severely when in the red zone.

Me too, seems like the offensive team would be allowed to advance their own fumble now?

Or maybe it means that they can't advance it, but can bat it any which way they want while attempting to recover and maintain their possession?

From my eye Larry is doing his best to avoid the messy issue of the name change by changing as much as he can (jerseys, logo, etc) to get the EE feel back, without actually changing the name. Maybe that is just the first step, and he will take it a step further, or maybe he hopes this will be enough to placate those who left due to the name change. Personally I would like to revert back to Eskimos, but I am not irate anymore, and just happy we have what looks like a good owner, and a promising team again.

Why is it a stupid take cause it does not align with yr opinion? Like it or not the woke culture/ and the Elks/CFL were proud to wave the skittle colours and say a big F*** Y** to the meat and potato fans who built this team b4 you and I were even born.
I don't ever recall the Eskimos having to close off the upper bowl due to a lack of fans. The elks can't even bring in 15,000 fans to a game.
The fans have read through this woke bullshit and are sick of it .
Hey how did the Boston Piazza support turn out for the elks after basically strong-arming the name change ??o0o That's right, Boston Piazza pulled their support like a bunch of rat bastards.
How did the CFL LGBQ jersey fly?
Anything woke turns to shit and in 5 years this league will be an afterthought if they don't change course.

I stopped reading when you used the word “woke.” I hated the name change too but while I agree with most of your points, the losing record is the major cause of fans leaving — not the name change. Attendance is declining across the league. Television is a big cause of that.
