Cfl 2025

Very wise, especially for Canadian players.

Once they go down there for the 1-2 year practice roster stint they don't often make it back the same player if they make it back at all.
I recall way back when when CFL players first started going to the US, not making it, and then coming back, and pretty much to a man, they were never as good as they were before they left. Even the ones who were only gone for half a season, which is strange, but just the way it seems to go.

I think it's a combo of 2 things - losing motivation to perform knowing that the dream is over and also not playing for 12-24 months.

It doesn't even make sense financially. Unless you think you have favourable odds of actually making the team, you aren't getting ahead by spending a year on a practice roster and then cratering coming back ultimately shortening your career.

Tough to say. Even being on the practice roster you can make pretty good money in the NFL. That said Tyrell probably is making about the same as he would at the lower end of a practice roster salary, so may as well continue to get the reps.

Ya that's the part I'm unsure of.

I thought that NFL PR players make ~$100-150, but that could be old news. That's probably in the ballpark of what he'll make here.

I believe the range last year for the practice squad was around 12 - 21/k per week, depending on experience.

Yeah, so if you stay on it the full season you can be somewhere between $200K-$350K, but if you get into any games then the money grows rapidly.

I think Ford got about $230K and some marketting money so probably makes the choice a bit easier as he gets to be with family, will start provided he's healthy and can continue to develop.
