I'm happy with the decision. I get so tired of the CFL's recycle machine and rinsing off guys who really haven't demonstrated very good results. Time to let some younger guys step into the fray.

I guess Hervey is bringing Zimmerman with him too which will leave Simon on the outs?

Commanders not bringing back old Redskins logo despite misleading reports

They might bring back the logo though, and possibly change the name to something like "Warriors" or the like.
Washington Warriors sounds great and creates something more upbeat, like Atlanta Braves. A term of honor. Much better than Redskins.

My understanding is that nobody associated with the team liked "Commanders" but it will probably stick anyway. Vanilla scoops for everyone.

Apparently Simon is in the running for the Ticats GM position.

The EE were ready for some serious changes and I think its good.

LT hinted at the fact that he was going to shuffle the deck--in his various interviews--so no surprise.

Ed Hervey has had limited success as a GM but I think he has more ability in terms of assessing talent than the other guys we've had thru here so that's a positive.

An experienced GM and a rookie head coach might work. Who knows, maybe a kick return for a touchdown in 2025?

I can see it happen for sure, maybe more than once. Calgary's special teams were always pretty special under his watch. And I'm sure he'll figure out pretty quick which guys to put where to get that success. (Jevon Leake says hi)

Yes, I will never understand why Leake wasn't given dual roles as halfback and kick returner because returning kicks isn't nearly as dangerous as halfback where you are always taking a pounding.

This is one example of where new ideas are necessary.

Iam happy Hervey just didn't mail it in with the interviews and hire Campbell. Well done Ed.
