Campbell's team underschieved as bad as any team in the league this season. He will fit right in here.

Like QB’s, there just aren’t a lot of good HC’s up here (hello Ops Cap), and we will end up with a recycled one. Hervey hired Campbell when he was in BC, so there is precedent. It just makes too much sense that this will be the trio. I don’t think Campbell is a great coach, but not an awful one either. Just average. Has had decent success at least getting his teams into the playoffs, so better than we’ve had here recently. Not a lot of proven choices.

I just realized yesterday when I was watching TSN and saw that they had the panel in Vancouver already that the Grey Cup game is tomorrow. I assumed it was next weekend (last Sunday in November like it’s traditionally been). When did they get rid of the extra week off between the Grey Cup and the conference final games? I would have been an exciting 2 pm nfl game from not noticing it was on and missing it.

It's been awhile. At least 10 or more years

Publicity involving these is non existent now. At least in Edmonton area we don't ever even make playoffs anymore. But theres not a feature on any newsast I've seen, not showing up on most internet media. CFL is just a gongshow with no news on this. seemed like everybody was talking about the Tyson vs Bozo event. Pretty much a signpost of CFL being doomed. Sure you could walk around most of Vancouver area and not even realize a game is on.

I was at the Grey Cup game in Vancouver (1991, I think. When the Bombers hung 50 on the Eskimos) and it was already like that. The only times you’d know it was Grey Cup weekend was when attending a Spirit of Edmonton event.

I’m old enough to remember when the Grey Cup was such a huge event, every family seemed to host a Grey Cup party when I was a kid but that tradition seemed to die out with our generation as I can’t remember anyone having them after I became an adult.

I missed my first Grey Cup a year or two before Covid and since then I’ve only caught parts of games every year. It doesn’t help that our team has been so awful all that time but that never used to matter. That said I’ll try to watch tomorrow, you never know how many of these we’ll have left.

I don't think they ever had an extra week off between finals and the Grey Cup.

I think Toronto keeps this thing close today. Kick returns for TDs happen surprisingly often in Grey Cups, I think Grant will bust one again today for the Argos like he did two years ago for Winnipeg. I say Bombers win, but it comes down to Arbuckle's inability to lead a game-winning drive at the end, 26-21.
