Montreal still need an established DP number 10, and they need to play Saliba higher up the field and not beside him.

Vrioni is a pure striker. He's not going to come back deep and link up. He's going to play high, and be a poacher. Our biggest problem was always getting the ball higher up the pitch, and Vrioni is not going to help with that.

So if they want to use him properly, he needs the support, which we kind of have, but could be a lot better, hence the need for a true number 10.

Otherwise, Vrioni won't succeed.

He had 12 goals last season if you factor in the various tourneys, which makes for a very good production all told. He's definitely a pure scorer. I just like that he's not another guy who needs to learn the MLS style, we haven't been lucky at all with those.

Yeah, but he's a disappearing act and a bit of a diva. He always played his best against us, so maybe that's why they like him.

But honestly, the more I think about this move, the more it is underwhelming to me.

I was hoping for a Brandon Vasquez, Christian Ramirez type.
