This is pretty impressive, it's not like it's driven by a new star player or anything like that either. Coming after a pretty frustrating season to boot. The fanbase has definitely been growing in the past 5 years.

It's called "Messi". No worries, you can say it.

People think they can recoup their season tickets investment by selling that game. It may backfire if he doesn't play

It's a gamble. But Messi is quite healthy usually, he played too much last season.

I lol at Gervais and the media pretending as if it's something that was accomplished by the club. I mean, they might actually keep some of those people in the after-Messi, but they still have long ways to go to reach that type of adherence.

I hope they're being honest with themselves behind closed doors, because the next couple of seasons is actually an opportunity to take a much needed step forward.

He might play even more this season, LAFC was the team to play the most games in 2023 but Inter Messi could play as much or more

I've mentioned it a few times, but my son is reaaaaally into soccer and we have some connections within the team. What I can see is the younger demographic is at least as much into soccer as hockey. We're talking a very white and upper class group. When we go to more diverse neighborhoods, which is basically everywhere up to Longueuil and Repentigny, soccer is easily number 1.

It's the same with the younger people around me, soccer is at the very least as big as hockey, for some much bigger. Tons of international soccer merch too, shirts, caps, etc. TBH, I see it more walking around town than I ever see people wearing hockey merch anymore.

Statistics show more kids play soccer than hockey here in Quebec and across Canada.

Damn, I didn't see the new thread, can we get a sticky from a mod?

The fanbase should keep growing. As long as they leave Gervais and Renard do their thing, the fans will come.

I keep hitting refresh, but there's still no news about a new offensive player coming in, my internet must be broken I guess 🙃

This Joaquin guy looks solid, but he wont be scoring goals that's for sure.

Repatriating Breza is interesting since Courtois said he wanted his goalies to do certain extra things with the ball and Breza is probably one of the worst GK I've ever seen at using his feet.

Almost everyone looking fresh AF, don't know about Wanyama, looking kinda dusty. Lassiter hopefully working on his waves and not hiding a bush.

Good start on the hair for the guys.
