Expectations are so high for them that anything below perfection will be considered a disappointment. When your core is a year or two away from retirement, that's a disaster in the making. Good luck to them though.

All that attention is good for the league in any case, even though the expectations really are ridiculously high. Garber is probably cursing the fact that Messi came over AFTER the apple deal, it could have been even more lucrative had he been part of the sales pitch. Still, the MLS is going to make a lot of money this season.

Likewise. It should happen eventually, they will be the MLS team who will probably play the most games in 2024. As soon as they started to play a lot of games last year, they lost Messi (and others) and they crashed. They've also traded/transfered some players to fit under the cap so they might lack some depth but who knows
