Well, here we are!

The matchup no Czech fan wanted.

US are stacked with a beautiful roster. They have been cruising for a week on a very odd schedule (first 3 games were the hard opponents and then 4 lighter games).

Czechs have yet to lose in regulation. Haven't really had too many bad moments. They've picked up some legit players in Zacha, Necas and Pasta. They have a goalie edge. They are fresh off a very good game against Canada.

The difference? Czechs D is far below US D. Gudas would be a 4/5 on the US side. No other Czech would crack the roster.

I expect a close game. Also a heartbreaking one.

All true.. our PP immediately improved. Kubalik got better as he was terrible to start. Necas floating around in middle 6 could be beneficial too. Plus we can load up lines if we have too!

But our D is so far below the US D. Big difference in quality and I think that decides it.

Eg. Czech forwards will really struggle with US D. US forwards cannot wait to bust down against Krejcik, Spacek, kundratek and Kempny

Flek is out. Got sick overnight, with high fevers etc. That is a shame. He had not only been our fastest skater, but officially also the fastest skater of the whole tournament. (Number 2: Cozens btw)

Against the US, I’d like to see some speed and I think we will miss him.

Today we need all players to perform at the limit of their abilities. That means the boys from Boston have to be better than they were against Canada. And of course also from players like Krejčík, who was very bad...

Necas looked much better in game 2... Hoping for the same from pasta and Zacha. But I do agree we are in trouble.
 
I have taken 2.5 Ambien as I have important work meetings un the morning. An hour ago and still too exited to sleep. Ambien can have the side effect of writing some really incoherent nonsense before you fall asleep. So be gentle if I say something more idiotic than usual.

Like something idiotic along the lines of “we got this!!”
