Buium took a weird path to retrieve that, and Rinzel didn't take the man in front.

Guy in front was Buiums. Rinzel kinda got beat by allowing the puck to get chipped past him on the entry but there’s nothing dangerous there if Buium doesn’t chase below the goal line

We took an ass beating, had to kill a few penalties and came out tied.

Goal was from bottom 6 forwards
Hrabal looked damn good to be honest

Our top guys have yet to score and Sale looked pretty good! He almost got one in final second of PP.

US are clearly better but their game plan was to be up by 2 or 3 by now. Ours is to hang on.

Need to keep the second close. Hope the US don't blow the doors off us in period 2.

At least guys are working hard. Of course the US are the better team, but that was completely expected. I am OK with the Czech performance in the first period. Solid, focused work vs. an extremely strong opponent.

Our PP was sensational.. shame we didn't score but tonnes of variety and good chances from both wings and down the middle.

Then Hrabal with some great saves.

Then Bares (another unheralded guy) gets one for us.
