Celebrini for CALDER

Celebrini is a true 18 year old,Michkov turned 20 in 2004-25 and Hutson is 21-22...I think Celebrini is in the toughest position...regardless he'll be a Super-Star the others well all depends on headspace and teams success...they'll all get "paid" when their contracts are due and with that added pressure young Macklin has the better of the 3 as far as Support and he's a level-headed young man that projects confidence and will put the team on his shoulders in due time

Yesterday's game was one of the few times I have watched Hudson.

While I was impressed with his skating, puck handling and poise I couldn't help wonder... How many points would Hudson have if he were a Shark?

He displayed great vision and decision making, especially for a rookie Dman, but man it helps when you are passing puck to legitimate NHLscoring threats.

Just FYI... Celebrini is a lot closer to being 19 than Hutson is to being 22.

Celebrini is always going to be the age he is the entire season. Hutson isn't.

Celebrini started and ends this season as an 18 year old.

Hutson started at 20 and will end at 21.

Next year 19 and 19 and 21 and 22.

Yes, but the post I quoted referred to Celebrini as "18" while Hutson was "21-22." The 22 is completely untrue.

Hutson is incredible defensively. Forget the Calder, should we be talking Norris?

I got Wolf as the front runner and Hutson right behind. Sorry Macklin. At the end of the day having great chances and making great plays won’t show up on the stat sheet. Blame your teammates I guess.

The years that goalies have won were also in years with no strong skaters. This year 2 skaters are having seasons that would run away with the award most years. I do think Wolf should get consideration but he likely won’t get enough.

It will be fascinating to see the East coast bias clash with the give it to the guy who will have the best career bias.

I think Celebrini will take it by hair.

Honestly, if you have two players having historic seasons and both their respective teams make the playoffs, I would give the nod to them.

My argument to that is that Celebrini’s having the most impressive season since Crosby. The underlying numbers of Celebrini as an 18 year old are unprecedented. If voters only look at stats he will lose. If they watch the games there is no argument Celebrini is having the more impressive season.
