Because I won’t shut up about him, my college roommates now know the name Macklin celebrini while not caring about hockey. Their nickname for him is Celebrimbror and I think that is a great nickname. Certainly better than “beanie”

Ok at first I kind of thought Bustson and Mitchfraud were just mean spirited... And I'd love them in teal, great players... But the names are a bit funny to me at this point.
honestly never thought of them as mean spitied, just some ribbing of cellys competition, next year when they arent competing with celly for calder theyll get their names back.

then we'll have crysby and mcdofus and maclittle for his hart race

Beanie makes zero sense and if continued it will be considered an infractable offense.

I saw it in the wild on Instagram a couple days ago and almost said something.

I really have enjoyed Bedadd struggling. I was annoyed at the hype he received. Never saw and still don’t see him ever being a dominant, game-changer in the NHL.
he seems like a good kid, but yeah, I'm obligated to root against him. should be fun to watch the battle of the north vancouver kids for the next 2 decades though

It's so interesting how often "pro ready" prospects aren't actually ready to go. At least Fantilli is putting up points but his possession metrics are abysmal.

Fantilli has been pretty close to a point per game since being pressed into duty as #1C.

I don't think it should have been too surprising watching Fantilli at Michigan that he was going to score a metric ton of goals in the NHL while the possession and detail aspects of the game would take him much longer to figure out. He loves to rush and shoot and has to learn how to buy time with the puck.
