It feels like we do have 2 future Lindell types with those two guys. I hope so. We might have another more O kind of D in Kyrou.

They've done a pretty good job overall restocking the defense prospect pool.

Between Lindell (2012) and Heiskanen (2017), only one Stars-drafted defenseman played in the NHL. That would be Julius Honka.

Since 2019, they've added:
Harley, Grushnikov, Bichsel, Kyrou, Fegaras, and Lundkvist

As well as a few other guys with late picks who are not as strong of prospects. I'd argue that at least five of those picks will at least get a chance in the NHL (obviously two already have).

At least Texas can win in OT . Series tied 2-2 now against Milwaukee with deciding Game 5 in Cedar Park

Looks like Texas is gonna get eliminated unless they have an amazing come back in the 3rd period

Surprised Texas is done this early, that team was absolutely stacked full of career AHL vets.

Doubt Stars would've brought him back or that he wanted to play another year of AHL hockey. From what i saw he was ok after the trade

When they offload someone who's dissatisfied with their role like Cecconi it's pretty rare that the contract they take back is actually in the team's plans

So what we might be looking at tonight...

Blumel-Bourque-Stankoven
McKenzie-Bäck-Stranges
Caamano-Damiani-Reedy
? - Karlstrom-McDonald

Seminoff is apparently banged up. Not sure if Arcuri is Idaho bound yet or one of the AHL contracts like Mastrodonato will fill in there.

Defense is murkier with all of the veterans vying for time. Pouliot-Bichsel are the top pair from practice, beyond that not sure.

Hat tip to 100 Degree Hockey of course.

Guenther is also starting in Tucson this year so they might not be as much of a pushover as usual.

They're playing both the Texas and Tucson broadcasts simultaneously... this is giving me a headache

Arcuri is in fact in the lineup

Other D pairs are Bayreuther-Petrovic and Karow-Kyrou

Grushnikov and White scratched

The amount of turnovers is insane, especially in situations where there is no reason to lose the puck.

McDonald tips Bichsel's point shot 1-1

Bichsel has already had several moments where he does something unexpected that gives himself more space
