I am curious here as to CCM's 'investigator's' when sent back for warranty. So I just got an RBZ stage 2 stick and the very same day it got stuck in the boards and cracked. I spent a lot of money on it and was planning to send it in for the warranty... when it said they don't cover that. Which i understand, but also don't when it comes to something like this. I am wondering if they are going to tell it was not necessarily an 'error' in manufacture?

No worries at all, they will most definitely warranty that for you as long as it is a retail stick purchased at a legit dealer and broke within 30 days of purchase. I believe they will be able to tell if it's a blatant act of sabotage though haha.

Well it wasn't blatant sabatoge :p the rink i played at had really crappy jobs done in taking care of the boards and a huge dink in the corner boards caught the stick and i heard the snap. Now it's still "playable" but in my experiecne with what i feel and hear, i've got maybe 5 hours of game play before it's a useless piece of trash, or less with a higher end stick...
My major concern is 1) they say the warranty doesn't cover skates, boards, or 'accidental misuse'? and 2) like... i didn't do this i just want to utilize the warranty as i've gotten tto use it for 1 day. and get a replacement. Like can they REALLY tell if it got stuck in the boards, or if it was a shot? and what should i say? i'm not one of these guys trying to "scam" the warranty system. IT's not 30 days and it may not neccecarily be a manufacteror defect... but... idk.

You said you bought and broke it the same day? That's within 30 days.
Do they request a detailed description of how the blade broke? If not, then just send it in, they're usually good with this sort of thing. If they do, then be honest.
My store does in-store warranties, but I've seen more than enough cases where yours will very likely go through.

well i ordered it the friday before from hockeymonkey, it came on, well-yesterday lol... and broke that night (again though got caught in between the boards, where it really just shouldn't have...) and CCM does ask for a detailed explination which is my fear. By admitting th eboards 'broke it', voids the warranty. Which i dont get... and on the other hand... i just want my stick
Thanks for all the help! Gonna go ahead and play one or two open hocket games this week with it.. And then send it. Just feel so crushes at havinf just gotten it, took 6 days to deliver, and not really getting to use it. I really love the stick and hope they send a replacement.

Send it asap, the warranty card must be filled out online within 30 days from purchase with some specific steps. Just Google "CCM Reebok stick warranty" and you'll see it.
I had a Reebok 20K stick which broke within that period, I filled out the warranty info and sent it back. About a month later I received a CCM Ribcor 40K stick, I think they will send you an equivalent stick if not a better one. Good luck.
Reebok/CCM has been nothing short of stellar in my experience with warranty claims.
I've had a couple claims on broken sticks, and 2-3 gloves where I felt the palm wore out unreasonably fast.
They literally didn't question any of it. I just filled out the warranty card, and got my new replacement stuff in a timely manner. They are extremely pleasant to deal with it. Very solid team working over their in warranty department.
You have a legit claim. You won't have any issues getting a new stick. Just go through the process of making a warranty claim. Also, if you do speak to someone, just be calm and cool. Don't be a jerk, and demand anything. They will take care of you. Trust me.

I had one experience wiht Reebok/CCM and it was awesome. I was air mailed OEM eyelets for my U+CL. They spent over $20 on air mail to europe for them and didn't charge me for anything.
While I am not a brand *****, I have bought more CCM products when there were comparable cost/level alternatives from different brands because of their awesome service.

Although this has nothing g to do with a warranty. UT I sent an Email to CCM customer service with a question on if my CCM skates could be baked and they got back to me the next day. I was shocked to even get a reply let alone so fast.

The "guys" checking the stick when you send it are probably minimum wage employees who couldn't gives 2 craps about how it broke and at certainly not going to investigate it. As long as you have the receipt you will get another stick back, no questions asked.

Not that I'm saying I wouldn't try the same if it was my expensive new stick being broken, but don't kid yourself... you're definitely scamming the system.
He's most certainly not though. The stick broke within the 30 days of purchase(same day of purchase actually), under normal playing conditions.
The only other term you need to meet in order to qualify for CCM's return policy is that the stick wasn't altered in any way.
Legit claim here.

He said in the third post that the warranty doesn't cover damage by boards. If that's accurate, he doesn't have a legit claim.

I assume they mean slamming it on the boards, after a weak call, and you break it in disgust of your 10 min. misconduct ...... wait, what?

I think that is more or less means if you got pissed and slammed the stick into the boards/glass and it broke.
Ive broke a few sticks over the crossbar myself.
