Hockey Canada just announced it participants for the Junior Challange 15 players from the CCHL. Congratulations to all players invited. Good luck with your quest to make a team.
This also raises an interesting question. 10 of the 15 players invited are HEO developed players so 67%. This is a huge accomplishment when you consider that the 10 players came from a pool of only 40% of HEO players in the CCHL. One must assume the HEO players are better than the players brought in from out side. Why? Because this is about the third year in a row that HEO developed players out number other invites from the CCHL.
I would also suggest that at selection time if a HEO player and an outside player are equal teams are selecting the none HEO area player, for you guessed it, income not talent.
