receives 6.95M in cap

Trade 2:

To WPG:

Jackets re-worked lineup would look like this...

F's:
Jenner-Dubinsky-Atkinson
Saad-Wennberg-Bjorkstrand
Foligno-Dubois-Nyquist
Calvert-Karlsson-Anderson
with Gagner, Miller as extras

D:
Murray-Jones
Werenski-Trouba
Goloubef-Despres
with Stoner, Kukan as extras

For expansion draft purposes
7F Protected: Dubinsky (NMC), Foligno (NMC), Saad, Wennberg, Atkinson, Jenner, and Nyquist.
3D Protected: Murray, Jones, and Trouba.
1G Protected: Bobrovsky (NMC).

edit: The Stoner, Savard, Miller, Goloubef and McElhinney contracts all come off the books after this season and next, which will save 9.85M on the cap for the next season which is enough room to re-up the core players that need new contracts over the next two seasons.

Don't see Blue Jackets liking that.

You see, I don't know about that. It frees the CBJ up from Hartnell's NMC and adds more depth at RD, which they are thin at behind (currently) Jones and Savard (and in this case, Jones and Trouba).

edit: revised the OP so that it reflect's Stoner's lack of NMC.

As a Ducks fan, this is an easy 'yes' for me. CBJ likely won't do this deal though.

Stoner doesn't have a NMC, btw.

I must have confused his contract status with Bieksa's then. My bad.

Would Anaheim be interested in taking out Stoner and Prout in this deal? Just Hartnell @25% retained for Despres? Saves them a small amount of cash

I don't think we'd save enough doing Despres for Hartnell, but I'd add a 2nd to Despres and Stoner for just Hartnell at 25% retained.

Yeah, Jets don't give that a single serious thought. They need Trouba and have almost no need for any of the pieces coming back. Another RD is not what they need.

A no from Jets fans. We don't need Savard, absolutely no interest in Campell and the fact that the best part of the trade is a 1st rounder that is top 3 protected makes this a massive no.
Probably one of the worst trade offers I've seen for Trouba.

You want Trouba? It'll cost you Werenski. We'll work out something to help out with the cap, within reason.

If Trouba is going to Columbus then Werenski is definitely heading to Winnipeg. And i'm not convinced that Trouba would sign for the Seth Jones deal. Still think he wants more then that.

No way CBJ takes the Anaheim trade. Anaheim takes that and runs. I would love Hartnell in Anaheim though

I would do the same deal as well. But there's no way CBJ would do it. Either deal is insanely good for Anaheim

NJ and WPG don't touch those deals. Anaheim does that in my eyes, not sure about the Red Wings. Probably no.

No thank you from Detroit's perspective, Have no use for Jack Johnson we want younger D-man Shattenkirk, Fowler, Possibly Trouba if he truly does want out of Winnipeg we've no use for Johnson. Easy pass here.

I would do the Detroit deal. Probably will surprise a lot of the Wings fans around here, but I am willing to part with Nyquist and Miller for JMFJ and Milano.

I think Nyquist and Boone Jenner on a line would be incredible, so I think it does make sense for Columbus.

Trade 1 - Bad for Columbus
Trade 2 - Both teams probably say no. As a Columbus fan, I definitely say no.
Trade 3 - Maybe okay for both teams
Trade 4 - Horrible for Anaheim

Not really sure that i'm all that interested in Jack Johnson, But adding Sonny Milano would be sweet i would definitely do it just to add Milano to the roster. Might not be that bad of a deal as long as we've a healthy Jack Johnson and adding Milano is the deal breaker.

So the Devils take on Clarkson's contract for nothing AND give up picks?

Try sending back Saad and we'd maybe take Clarkson's contract in full.
