If Elvis is the starter, it’s a terrible example to set but what do I know. At least JVR is back in? I guess

I really appreciate the job Evason has done this year but these roster decisions particularly in this stretch run have been absolute head scratchers to me. With the way Elvis has played the past month it is hard to argue he gives us the best chance to win.

I’d swap Jenner and Sillinger, and play Voronkov-Jenner-Olivier a lot of minutes.

I see 2 defenseman playing that are better than Severson.

The important thing is that JvR is playing with Fantilli and Jenner, not the bottom 6. And hopefully the Johnson/Voronkov change will help improve the line. It's hard to comment on Chinny, we don't know what condition he's in.

If our D let the Leafs skate right down the ice and take dead aim on Elvis like they did against the Avs, it's going to be a long, long game for Elvis or for whoever.

what logical sense is there behind putting Elvis in net again?
He’s so emotional that maybe he’ll come out on fire and play well? Half joking, half serious.

It’s a back-to-back, so he was in all likelihood going to get a game regardless. My guess is whichever of Elvis or Tarry plays better these next two games will finish the year as the #1 (with the other only getting a start in the final back-to-back).

It's not who is a better player but who is playing better (or less bad). I see five d-men more reliable in the starting lineup tonight.
