GDT: CBJ @ Toronto...Dare I say, this is one is critical?!?

We were pretenders and I think most of us knew this. The season got serious at the beginning of March and we couldn’t keep up. I view this season as a positive step, but we definitely need to change our defense and goalies.
Exactly
It has been a fun season with games still to watch and hopefully enjoy
It is hugely disappointing to be on the cusp of the playoffs and not make the playoffs
It’s also hugely disappointing to make the playoffs and not win the cup
But the team has made huge strides from the past few years and the offseason should be interesting and exciting to see what upgrades the GM makes and the steps forward that our players will take

Ive seen enough of Elvis.

... I wonder how many people on the graceland tour say that? 🤔
I went on the Graceland tour. Not a huge Elvis fan like my girlfriend is, but I did enjoy the tour. His car collection is pretty cool. Thought the house would be bigger though.

well, at this point we just gotta hope they can keep their spirits up enough to finish the right way

Felt like we were outmatched in every facet on that series. On boards, positioning, stick play, and passing

Certainly at the Graceland Shopping Center

What was that old restaurant that used to be there? It was like they never remodeled and you were stepping back into the 60s. It was awesome. I bet they loved Elvis there. Although it had more of a Frank Sinatra vibe.

Ground Round was across the street.

This place had sparkly gold and sparkly blue vinyl seats. It was awesome. My friend and I stumbled in on accident and immediately felt we in a legendary establishment. We went to a thrift shop and bought crazy sport coats before we back.

The defense is only as good as Werenski is. We ran him into to ground this year.
Probably 2-3 too many minutes per game along with the 4 nations deal took its toll on him. He's always activating into the play (which he should be) so his minutes are actually much harder than those of your average defenseman.

I don't blame Evason for playing him so much. He's an elite dman on a team which doesn't have a lot of defensive depth.
