Confirmed Trade: [CBJ/SJS] Luke Kunin for 2025 4th round pick

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Could be a sneaky good addition for Columbus moving towards the playoffs.
Really not trying to pessimistic but are we watching the same player?

Not a big guy, not fast, has an okay shot, and is a decent skater. Great on the forecheck? Not really. Always caught out of position defensively? Oh, definitely. And let’s not forget, he doesn’t score much either. But hey, he only cost us a 4th-round pick, and we’ve got way better players down in Cleveland. Could be that depth scorer we were searching for and last but not least only 47% from the faceoff. So a fringe NHL player.

I really hope not joking here that he is sneaky good like you said but it doesn’t seem so.

No complaints here. Kunin is a great guy, but just leaves SO MUCH to be desired as a player. I won't miss him, but I appreciate his hard work.

This is funny depth scoring forward was the desire and that isn’t this guy. I do believe we have a lot of guys in Cleveland that would be better and not cost us a pick.
It keeps them in Cleveland for the playoff push and playoffs most likely. Gotta imagine they won't play a ton

Columbus has gone 1-5-1 since the trade.

The only 2 teams I support are the Sharks and Jackets, so I feel shame that my one team totally ruined my other team.

Luke Kunin is a dedicated hockey player which I like. Think Columbus just wasn't a fit for him. If he was playing on a team like Tampa or Florida he'd likely have a role put in more use for him.

For all we know he may succeed in Columbus, just not today.
