While I am intrigued, I am just a bit baffled on how the pairings will look. We have two right handed NHL d-men in Fabbro and Severson and a whole bunch of lefties in Z, Provy, Christy, Harris and JMFJ. I know Provy has done well on the right side but I suspect Fabbro signals a shift of Provy back to the second pairing. Do we go...

1) Z-Fabbro, Provy-Severson and Christy-???
2) Z-Severson (like last game), Provy-Fabbro and Christy-???

This feels like a game the CBJ need to win to stop the bleeding, not sure they are comfortable playing Jiricek. Does Christy slide to the right side to play with JMFJ? I don't bemoan saying goodbye to Boqvist, Bean and Blanks over the summer or Peeker at last year's TDL but clearly someone needs to play out of their normal position.

There we go...

Z-Severson
Christy-Provy
JMFJ-Fabbro

This makes more sense, Fabbro has had one practice, putting him on the third pairing and let him get his feet wet with less pressure. I think they are also pretty happy with Christy so keeping him on the second pairing.

Although maybe it would be better to have three good defense pairs. Especially if Fabbro is enough fast. We will see (me only on Wednesday p.m.).

I'm not sure there's enough speed with our top line (don't love Monahan and Vronk together). I'd love to see the Russia Trio back together and then go Fantilli, Monahan, and Silly until KJ is back to replace Silly
