The timing wouldn’t even make sense. IF that was a thing, it would’ve been after the Colorado game. Not right after he played well two games in a row (with the team winning the last one).

So why would we assume he was getting booted after playing well for 2 games? It could have been something that happened in practice that morning he left the ice early.

People still want to assume the worst with him even if there isn't just cause at the given time.

JJ and Kuraly draw in tomorrow for sure because of their history with Columbus and probably they won’t be back next year. I kinda hope they let the college kids play a game too! With Friday/Saturdays game with Cleveland I don’t know if Jet gets the net but he should as a thank you though at this point I’m sure we will see him plenty next year if they give tarasov one more game in net

Looks like Jack Williams is making his NHL debut tonight in place of ZAR

Jack Johnson was deployed when we were trying to make the playoffs. He was on the ice with Erik Gudbranson. That was a pairing we saw when the team was trying to fight for a playoff spot in an extremely tight race.

Sorry, I'm just typing it all out to work past the denial phase of grief. Kunin, Merzlikins, individual moments of bad luck all pales in comparison to that fact for me. Finding an NHL level 3rd pairing is the most necessary step towards this team taking the next step. The front office wasted an incredible season by our top players by losing so badly whenever many of the 3rd pairs were on the ice.

I know JJ and Gudbranson weren't together for most of the bad stretch but it's symbolic of the 3rd pair problem that plagued the team. Severson was not part of the problem either, he was the only player that kept the 3rd pair afloat at points.
