Found out recently that Olivier has been with y'all for three seasons and CBJ fans never picked up his "Biloxi Bull" nickname. I need you guys to get on that ASAP!
It's not like he grew up in Mississippi. He was just born there because his dad was playing. Also we're Ohioans--what do we care about the South?

Not sure if im the only one but sure seems like Monhan really meshed well with Voronkov and since he has been out he hasnt fit in as well.

Monhan would slow the game down for him, where Fantilli and Marchy are playing the game bit faster then him

saying that this is the lines I would roll until he comes back

Also saying we trade provy. Im not fan of his, sure he eats min and plays ok game but hes not worth what he wants.

Also have Tarasov going to AHL. Clear or not hes lost enough games this year for me. jet has looked great and think he would be perfect 1B for elvis. Has great pad work and glove!

Doesn't Monahan and an extended Nelson block the young centers vs bridge to the kids?

If you could sign Nelson to a 2 year deal, then they'd be in position to hand off center duties to Fantilli at age 22, which sounds about right to my mind. But of course the club's plan, we can assume, is to keep Fantilli at center throughout.

Does 33 year old Nelson sign a 2 year deal? I have some doubts

I really think we’re fine at center right now. Monahan being out sucks but he’ll be back. Long term it seems like LDBB can play. Hopefully Lindstrom is able to play again.

I think we need a top 6 winger and another top 4 D, as well as a goalie (although Elvis may change things if he continues like this).

At this point I am read to move on from Sillinger. Quality guy with more potential still, but I think he has been passed by LDBB already and will be passed by Lindstrom quickly as well (pending health). Finding an upgrade on D or a legit wing to play with Fantilli and bring out his full potential are more valuable to the team now and into the future. Plus Sillinger is probably the odd man out once KJ, Mo, Marchy, Vronk and a few others get paid.

I think LDBB could pass Sillinger, but he hasn’t yet. The eye test says he looks like he can play, but the shots for/against and possession metrics leave a bit to be desired. He will improve in those areas though.

I’m curious what they do with him once we start getting guys back (still not an imminent problem, as 4, 38, 23, 59 seem a ways away). He’s playing about 14 mins a night which is already low, but I think it’s going to be harder to find ice time. Personally I think he’s earned to stick around for a bit.

For how badly this team needs some quality D depth, Sillinger is exactly the type of player you trade. He does plenty of things well but his finishing is so bad but that I don't really care if we keep him or not long term. You're also correct that long term, there are plenty of other players that make the difference over him.

Provorov is another that is not going to be worth the contract he gets. If they trade Ivan for a 1st + and then shop Sillinger along with two 1sts, what type of defenseman can they get in return?

I think Buffalo does Owen Power for that, especially if they are drafting 1st overall. Or alternatively maybe they trade us #1 and let us take Schaeffer. (A man can Dream). Unless you can find something another team that is as unbalanced the D trade probably has to wait until the offseason as nobody in the playoff hunt is going to offload a roster a D of that quality,

So where do you slot Owen Power, then? An offensive LHD making 8 mill a year, who's excellent at exits but dreadful at entries, who plays extremely soft and small for all that he's 6'6".

I wouldn't trade that for Owen Power.

If people want to trade Provorov, (im one of them), why not do a sign and trade for a serious D upgrade like Andersson?

If thats out of the realm of possibility, maybe go after Pelech or Pulock and call it a TDL. Make a bigger move in the offseason.

On second thought, I'd see what Buffalo would want for Byram.

Might not be a fit, but he is the type of high ceiling D that I could see that package landing. He was the first example that came to mind. Personally, I Could see Mateychuk slide to the right side and move up with Zach while Fabbro goes back to the second pair with Power to bring out the best of his offensive game. I think there is a ton of untapped potential in Owen in every aspect of the game and that his development has been impaired badly in Buffalo
