Waddell. DO IT. He looked great alongside Josi and I would love to see him next to Werenski. DO IT. DOOOOO IT.

Even if Columbus claims him, what the odds other teams won't? If he's good you would think a worst team would put in a claim. You think Nashville tried shopping him 1st but go no interest or they think he's bad so he won't get claimed??

On the mains, people mentioned some teams might not have cap space. Columbus has plenty. Some mentioned $2.5 mil is a risk. Again, Columbus has plenty so they could afford to take on the risk.

We have no freaking idea. 2.5 million 1 ye is not much but there is only 10 teams in the NHL who could claim it also he’s only 26 and a right handed D. if you want them, you got the cap space you got them
CapWages shows 18 teams with more than $2.5M in cap space.

CBJ are likely not in the top ten of waiver order right now and CBJ fans not used to not being top three. Gotta think someone higher than us will grab him.

Question: is waiver order based on Points or Points Percentage? Seems like it should be Percentage seeing how teams usually have not played the same number of games.

unless they like the potential of Fabbro over Harris

Yes we have a lot more LD than RD, so it's possible we bring Fabbro in as a rotating D in the place of Harris. Or maybe at some point Provorov isn't at top pair RD (not that I'm in a hurry to change that).

Anyways, I just told myself earlier not to get excited for Fabbro, we are way down the priority list for waiver claims.

I can see Fabbro getting a chance with Werenski but likely after the Provorov deal. For now our top two pairings are getting good results, so it makes more sense to have Fabbro on the bottom pair.

Werenski, Fabbro
Provorov, Severson
Christiansen, xxx
Provorov-Severson has not filled me with inspiration and happiness whenever they've been a pair. I mean, maybe we could give them another chance to see if it'll actually work this time, but I wouldn't be holding my breath. Especially by comparison with Christiansen-Severson.

Provorov has lost weight, which may have a good effect on his game (it seems to me he is skating better). Besides, we have a system coach. But it's a fact that Fabbro can be on the third pair, but in that case Jiříček will be assigned to the AHL, probably.

Still stuck in Forum 40
Condor coming here from Utah and asking about the possibility of a trade with the Hockey Club if Provorov doesn't look like he'll re-sign. It may be a bit premature as I expect the decision wouldn't be anytime soon. Just asking for realistic future trade scenarios.

Don’t think he’ll be re-signing. Don’t think they’ll look to trade him until 2025.

My guess would be draft picks.
