Why no updates on Wennberg? His team not playing? Hurt? He not doing anything? Tough to get info? Anyone?

he's been playing well or so i've been told...one of the swedish posters can prob give a better update...

Just checked the Frolunda team page and his stats are still (through 16 games) 6 G 0 A -2. His 6 goals are second on the team. Tops on the team is 9 and in the league 13 (through 16 games)

Wennberg has been playing LW on the 2nd line for Frölunda. The SHL is a lower scoring league. The Frölunda J20 SuperElit team Søberg plays for regularly wins games 7-1 so there are a lot of updates. SHL teams are far more evenly matched and it's far more of a defensive game.

Wennberg's team is 3rd in the SHL with a record of 7-5-4, so they are winning, just not scoring a lot of goals.

Looks like Wennberg was moved to the wing with Joel Lundqvist, Henrik's brother, at center and Montreal prospect Collberg on the other wing.
Forsberg has 4th best SV% in the SEL. 1st is his teammate Ullmark, they played 8 games each.

Mike. Reilly. Holy **** this kid is fun to watch.

I'm not sure how his game will translate to the NHL because he is such a unique player but wow he is electric. I was at the game today and was just in awe watching some of the plays he made, I said he was going to have a breakout year before this year started and I think he's well on his way.

Forsberg beats Wennberg's Frolunda for the 2nd time this season. He saved 33 of 34 shots. MODO won 2:1 despite only 21 shots on goal.

SV% 0.931 and 6-3 record. Forsberg is doing pretty well.

Peter Quenneville left Quinnipiac to play junior hockey. Look for Quenneville to quickly become one of the more dangerous scorers in the league almost right away.

Zaar looked good from the beginning, and even better now. He has tremendous puck skills and overall offensive smarts and creativity.

I can't see a scenario where Blomqvist would be tendered a qualifying offer after this year. He just hasn't come around to any extent.

Rychel named to team OHL in the Subway Super Series vs Russia - the last chance for players to make their mark in hopes of making Team Canada for the World Junior Championships.

Twohey was asked what makes Kirby Rychel a good choice for Team OHL. “Kirby is a premier winger in the league obviously. He’s a left winger who scores goals, he plays hard, and he’s a physical presence, He’s a typical world junior candidate.”

So Fosberg's record is 8-3, Ullmark's record is 5-5. And it's not like Forsberg has had easier schedule - he started both games against Frolunda and won both of them.

All the Jackets prospects in Sweden are playing on their teams 1st lines. Should be good for their development.

TJ Tynan scored a beauty tonight. Shorthanded, he blew past one defender, ovrepowered another completely, then came in on a breakaway and burried it. He was Notre Dame's best forward tonight. We have 3 centers injured, so he filled in there a bit and looked great.

Also, showed great heart. Always was sticking up for teammates and showing real emotion when they/we scored.
