I watched the first two thirds today, then the stream broke. Seems to me the boys were tired. 6 wins, and not always over weak opponents. A point is a good one.
Tarasov was great.

Should be, but... :dunno:
I can't say what the ice conditions were when the Rangers returned home after the holidays. They were away between 12/22-1/2 and I attended 4 concerts at MSG over NYE and those were bookended by Knicks games on Christmas day and on Jan 1.

Its hard to say why ice conditions what they were. I think it was sunny and 45 today. It was close to 50 a couple of days when I was there so it seems like normal NYC weather.

Maybe tired but also considering we aren't that strong on the road and don't have control of line matchups I'm not surprised this game was tough. Games like this on the road will really show how much we miss Monahan after playing the last 4 at home.

I love me a good goalie battle, and that's what this was. Both deserve the shutout.
Need KJ to try a different move in the shootout.
Marchenko had Shesterkin down, just didn't roof it.

Tarasov has restored my faith in the last 2 games. He was phenomenal tonight. Going to give Zibenejad nightmares, stopped him on 2 breakaway and his shootout attempt.
Still very happy with their effort, and getting a point.

Remember his play last season. He didn't play well the first part of the season. Then he got injured, then when he came back he played great. Maybe this time it will be the same. 😏

I liked the effort and the approach to keep the score low and focus on defence. That is one area that hasnt been good enough but they did a good job on that tonight.

Would have liked to get 2 points but I have to say this was a test that they passed. The Jackets have relied on run support for a while now. Good to see that absent goals on the road (against an elite goaltender) they can get a point.

I'll likely have it on on another screen and will likely be paying closest attention between plays and/or commercial breaks. There's a lot of downtime in football, after all.
Yup, split screen. And agree, there is plenty of time between snaps and you can almost watch half a period of hockey between CFB commercial breaks.

For everyone discussing the MSG ice conditions, MSG is regularly voted by the players as some of the worst, if not the worst, ice conditions in the NHL.

In my case, less split screen and more that I watch on computers, and I have both my laptop and a Mac Pro. (The latter is hooked up with an original 30" Apple Cinema HD Display - the sort that requires an obscure dual-link DVI connection and will later this summer be old enough to legally drink. I love it so.)
