Justin Bourne had a really good article for The Athletic about this exact scenario vs Tampa the other night. Cooper started off with Hedman against Kadri because they were so hot, and the Matthews line ended up torching them so he was forced to switch matchups and then split pairings to try and get Hedman vs 1 line and Stralman vs another.
