Every time we play the Kings I am reminded of what might have been had Doug MacLean listened to his scouts rather than going with his gut.

When he's on I might agree. Gavrikov is more consistent though, especially in his defense. And I don't think there's a big gap in offensive results, even though Provy has a lot more flash. I see both as well rounded.

Gavrikov has a mediocre first pass, he can't regularly QUALITATELY support the forwards. In addition, unless the super plays aggressive, Gavrikov loses quite a few battles at the net or even in the front of the net.

Btw, I noticed that Provorov lost weight before this season.

We have seen contract year Gavi. He looked like non contract year Gavi.

I feel like you ought to know Gavrikov better, he's not a guy where you ask what his play looks like in a contract year. You know what he plays like all the time, his effort is always the same.
