Grumpy 'cause while I can get away with a lot from work, streaming a hockey game isn't one of those things. :thumbu: for updates.

...So I decided I'm about to leave anyways, so I'd see if I'd try to get streaming working on my phone for the drive home (on the theory that there might be commentary; alas), and I did get it working... in time to see Elvis manage one heck of a save. So that's a nice omen.

They cut to a close up after his glove save. The referee went to reach in his glove for the puck. Elvis slaps his hand away from reaching in his glove. Then he flips the puck up about chest high and makes the ref grab it mid-air.

The guy has moxie.

Just tuned into last 5 minutes of second. Yep, loved that glove save by Elvis. Forwards looked good so I can see how they have 6. In the small sample I watched, the D men had trouble exiting their own zone. Has this been an issue at all for the rest of the game?(....score makes me think not).

Texier is very very good at protecting the puck. I know he's kind of a "man among boys" because he's played pro forever, but still.

So Texier centering that top line , Foudy centering 2nd line . I’m betting Tex is moving back to center for this Nhl season . Insurance for when Pooh reverts back to not shooting the puck . I wouldn’t be suprised if Texier ends up our #1 C and Pld slides down like last year to the second line . Maybe not this year , but within the next season and a half .Kid is the complete package

They certainly at least want to experiment him the in the middle. I think Torts said in his interview that he plans to try him there at some points, with or without Wennberg improving, so it would be nice if he's able to swim.

Let's do something we rarely seem to do around here. Optimistic, best case scenario - we could have a spine of PLD, Texier, Wennberg and Nash. This club could easily become this year's New York Islanders.
